Hallo guys,

i need to perform a calculation to show what is the maximum allowable test pressure without exceeding material minimum yield strength.
According ASME B31.3 How should i perform this.

eventuelle refomring an equation?

Thanks lg Stefan

B31.3 2018 345.2.1(a). Yield is found in table A-1/A-1M. Rewrite 304.1.2(a) eq. (3a) or (3b) to exclude those factors not present during a hydro (e.g. W and c).

There are four or five different equations that can be used with piping for stress calculations. They are best suited to different wal:OD ratios and even for different materials so they each give slightly different values.
