Hello everyone,

I am working with an axisymetric model and I would like to calculate a surface area on the deformed shape.
This surface is not mesh but bordered with nodes (since it is a hole, in the model).
I use the graphic interface of Abaqus 6.7
If anyone could help me I would be so pleased. (I have already been 2 hours looking for that on the Internet)

Thanks

Try creating a surface from the nodes. Then look for mass properties. I am sure you can calculate the surface from the orginial model geometry. You may have to try the same in the visualization module.

Thanks a lot Gurmeet, this answer seems pretty good, I will try it Monday morning and then inform this subject if it has worked.
