This tool could be useful for structural and civil engineers who need to integrate calculations directly into their engineering reports. At just $5.00 per month, it's an affordable alternative to Mathcad.

This was already discussed in the Mathcad forum

I never look at the Mathcad forurm so it's good to see it here as I do use Word.

Still, $5 a month?? It reminds me of how Microsoft has ignored this area of usage in favor of extended chart junk and increasing database-ification of Excel, which is approaching a Baroque period in terms of complex instructions.

Note that it's primary similarity to Mathcad is being able to do units and being able to simple algebra. It would not be sufficiently compatible with Mathcad to make it worth the $5/month subscription, although, I suppose it's better than having Mathcad at all.

It saves me a lot of time and effort, especially when making adjustments to my reports!

I believe there's a similar 'extension' for LibreOffice, I think it's called iMath. I haven't used it as I use Mathcad, but I may have a look at it some time.

This Calculate in Word is now able to handle US customary units.
