cage reinforcement

Hello,

When I model a simple rc beam with "point" pinned support, I cannot see its "cage reinforcement"(the actual rebar graphics display) but when I replace the point support with a rc column, I can see its cage reinforcement when I run the "detailing" option. Is there any reason for this? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
