Does anyone know a way to get a trial version of CAD LT? I have a friend that is doing basic civil engineering site plans and he was trying to determine of the LT version will meet his CAD needs.
Anyone using LT for civil site plans with success?

About any dealer will let you try it out for 30 days or such.

...yes, or you can give him your installation-cd, and the registration-number is 000-000000 (only zero)...So he will get a 30-days-version too.

When you say "CAD", I presume you do mean AutoCAD. It's been awhile but as of AutoCAD 2002, the primary difference between LT and the standard package involved macros and solids; not sure about surfaces. Anyway, that functionality was stripped out of the LT version.
