I have a cable marked 'E119932' and 'AWM STYLE 20276' with a UL Recognized mark and 'VW-1'. Can anyone tell me where I can locate the standards that these marks are referring to?

Google only shows me other cables that meet these specs (lots of RS-232 and SCSI cables).

Who is AWM anymore anyway?

Thanks,

Ah, a few pieces of the puzzle from the Underwrites Laboratories web-page. It looks like these are part of UL-758:

AWM - Appliance Wiring Material

VW-1 - manufacturer gets monthly inspections

20276 - some form of 'multi-conductor thermoplastic insulated and jacketed wire'. That makes sense; this is an HDMI cable with 15 conductors (and four shields).

I don't see anything about the 'E' marking. Is that an EU marking?

The # E119932 is the UL file # for COPARTNER TECHNOLOGY CORP the manufacturer
AWM is Appliance Wiring Material
20276 is the type of cable
VW-1 means that it passes the UL vertical flame test

Thanks X! I'll have to check out CTC.
