we have a 15-20 year old bystronic bystar 3015 Laser machine. We are having a issue with detection (sf3). It does not want to detect the material when we start the programme. it hits the material everytime it starts cutting a new part. it hits so hard that we can hear that sound. does anybody had the same issue ? any leads will be appreciated.

the problem is same for each and every material. how do you check the material thickness settings?

in your cutting condition there should be a setting for thickness. it sounds as though your thickness is set too low add 1 inch to your thickness and try again

how about nozzle calibration? is it possible to make nozzle calibration?
