Bushing Seals 1

Can anyone help me, I am looking for a 1/4 inch shaft bushing seal with .5 inch O.D. Where do I look to find them. I searched online and no luck.

Sorry they couldn’t help.
Come back with the type seal your are looking for, dynamic or static. If dynamic rotary, reciprocating, or both. What are the conditions as to environment it will see

The bushing seal I believe I'm looking for is dynamic. The setup I have is a bushing seal, bearing, and bushing seal. The shaft goes through all three by sliding in and out without really rotating. The bushing seals lock in the bearing from both sides. Bushing seals are there to seal from any dust, dirt to get to the bearing. The shaft moves in and out every 5 seconds. I hope this is not too much info. Thanks for your help.

I think you nees o-rings as seals since the shaft moves in a linear movement. However, you will have to designs adaptor/s for the o-rings gland.

Did you look at there reciprocating seals? We sure used a lot of there products in similar cases.

A square O-ring might do the job.

If there is no pressuure in your application and you need a metal canned seal for a press fit design you can use a linear oil seal. It shold have two or three lips to keep the oil in and the dirt out.

If there is pressure in the design you can use a rubber wiper that is similar to a u-cup but with a wiper lip. You can buy in both metal canned for press fit or all rubber for a snap into a groove design.
