Does anyone know of any company(apart from Reyrolle Pacific Switchgear.Newzeland) involved in providing maintenance services on Reyrolle's LMT2 type switchgear. The maintenance work involves 11kV bus bar including replacement of all shrouds, Monoblocks & thorough fare Bushings for all panels, filling of new compound type Epoxilite EIP4272 in shrouds etc.

Where are you geographically? There's a huge installed base of LMT2 in the UK, so there are plenty of third party rebuilders and I'm pretty sure that Siemens at Hebburn, Newcastle still offer support for the old Reyrolle product lines after buying the Reyrolle business from VA Tech.

Hi Scotty
Im in the Middle East. The production of this type was shifted to New Zealand long time back so i dont think they still have the competency in Siemens UK.But if you can refer me to any third party in the UK it would solve the problem.

Try these:-

Both Companies carry out busbar extensions on LMT and should be able to provide circuit breakers/fixed portions and all the associated busbars, shrouds etc.

I think the old LMT manufacturing facility at Hebburn which was kept ticking over by VA Tech producing retrofit vacuum trucks has met its demise since Siemens took over.

Reyrolle at Hebburn (I'm a Geordie; I can't bring myself to call it Siemens T&D [smile] ) said they could support our 66kV OSM10 gear and although I haven't pursued it further they do seem to have retained some of the old expertise.

Other companies who spring to mind as offering retrofit VCBs for the LMT2 and possibly other services include: P+B Engineering; Bowers Electrical; Slater Electrical; Wilson Power; Systems Power Engineering.

Probably worth a few calls anyway - if they can't help then they might know who can.

Thanks Scotty and Marmite for your valuable feedback. I have reviewed the websites of the companies mentioned and they seems to be suitable. Lets see how it turns out.
