burning Mac and Win files onto one CD

I have to submit a project with Mac and Win files burnt onto one CD, I cannot have them zipped or stuffed. I have CD burners for both platforms and software Nero (win) and Toast (mac). So far multi-session attempts cross platform have failed. Is there a way?

do it on the mac, transfer the pc files to the mac and burn it there using the Hyrbid CD option.
