My company is working on a pedestrian bridge project that has a strong aesthetic influence. Due to this and other design requirements, the web of the built up girder will not be centered on the flanges. Also, the top flange will be wider than the bottom flange. Can someone give any guidance as to any additional requirements to account for outside of the standard built up girder specifications (stiffeners, tension field action, etc.)?
