On of my clients is requesting a valve with BS336 hose connection to be used as a flushing connection to flow into their firewater spray system. I am looking at various BS336 valve patterns, and we would like to use a Right-angle valve for this application.

With the primary function being for flushing 'into' the system from a remote hose connection, is a Right-angle valve a good selection for this purpose? Are these valves suitable for reverse flow (as opposed to a standard globe valve with preferred flow direction)?

I noted that I have been looking at many variations of available valve styles. It appears the right angle I intend to purchase is a ball valve style, NOT globe. I believe my question has been resolved.
