I am working on a water project in California and need to know if bronze service saddles can be used on ductile iron pipe or is there a issue with dissimilar metals causing corrosion. Is there a note on this in AWWA?
Thanks,

What is the purpose(service or repair?), style and size of the "saddles" and ductile iron parent pipes you are talking about?

Waterworks Bronze and passivated T304 Stainless Steel service saddles are fabricated from noble materials which are closely related to each other near the top of the galvanic scale of corrosion resistance. Unlike pairs of widely dissimilar metals, they will both exhibit long life in most hot soil environments. Can be used on PVC, Ductile Iron, Steel, HOPE and AC pipe.
