Brinell Test on API 5C6 1

Dear All Respected Expert,

I have question regarding API 5C6 section 5.4

statement is "Brinell hardness survey is not acceptable for testing weld metal heat affected zone in a PQR test".

why Brinell hardness survey is not acceptable on this recommended practice?

Too large a diameter of ball relative to width of HAZ is one reason.

The ball Brinell diameter is 1, 2.5, 5, or 10 mm.
