How do you Bridge in SW. The help menu shows a golf club being formed but doesn't say how you do it.
I have SW 2005 with SP3.1
Thanks

Also, I tried lofting between the gap but the loft is invisable in the DRG. Why's that?

"Bridge" sounds like a UG term. Are you coming from having used UG?

Sounds like you want a loft. It would help to see a picture of what you are trying to do, though.

What is "DRG"?

There is no magic or special tricks to "bridging". You just create the bridging body in the same way as the bodies you are bridging between. It is just another piece of a multi-body part.

If you can see the bodies in the part model, you should be able to see it in the drawing. Can you post images of the part & drawing. (faq559-1100)
Also post information on your video card & driver.

thanks guys, but I still can't find any command for "bridge".
I can't upload a sketch, but if you imagine a tube that has a flattened end. I've created a flattened end part then the tube and made a gap between the two. I now want to bridge the gap from a round tube to an oval (squashed) tube.

That's because there is no command for bridge in SW... try looking at Loft, or Sweep. If you are in an assembly, you will still have to insert a new part and then you can edit that part at the assembly level and loft 2 profiles to make a "Bridge" component.

Forget your old CAD lingo, because SW doesn't have the same lingo.

Loft feature is what you want. Be caerful not to use "Loft Surface" which is a different/similar feature that creates a surface rather than a solid. I don't think surfaces show up in drawings either.

Thanks guys. I've solved it by making it all solid, lofting between the two bits then shelling the wall thickness.
