We have started to do lift plan for bridge beams. This is all new to us. Have been told about 3D. Any other programs to use to plan out thd beam lift.

For a typical bridge erection plan, it's not worth the effort of using any sophisticated software package. Only time I can imagine anything more than some autocad sketches would be if there were significant utilities in the area that cause geometric constraints. Then you may be looking at a sketchup-based (or similar) software package (there are a few specifically meant for crane picks, nothing that has the market cornered).
