Breakout views that don't stay put 1

Has anyone found a fix for breakout views, idw's, in version 6. The problem is that once I make a view, detail, save, close and get back into a drawing, the breakout views lose their connection (apparent)with the drawing. The view will show the balloons and details on it but not the actual view of what is supposed to be inside the sketch. (which is why I want to use the feature in the first place) Otherwise I'm left to create cutting planes and details of same to show the views I want. This would mean more work instead of less work. I don't really think going to release 7 or 8 is an appropriate answer for this but we are using Inventor, afterall.

I can't speak to this problem specifically but 6 was one of the buggiest releases. 7 and 8 are leasp and bounds more stable than 6.
