breaking up long equations

How does one break up long equations in Mathcad so as to keep the equation all on one sheet?

<ctrl>-<enter> will split additions, but there's no way to split multiplications

If the <ctrl><enter> can't work in your situation, you can always try changing from portrait to landscape.

The equations are very long so landscape doesn't help very much.

I found that when I used the <ctrl><enter> my symbolic result changed. Otherwise it was exactly what I needed.

I did the procedure post writing the equation and I noticed that when entering the keystrokes a new input box showed up. Since I already had the equation I simply deleted that extra "placeholder". If I hadn't and used it for the part of the remaining equation, I bet the symbolic answered would have worked.

It was a late night and I didn't feel up to fooling around with it.

Often it is clearer to use a short program to break up a long equation into smaller parts. You can define local variables for different terms of the long equation and pull them all together at the end. You may have room for some documentation to the right of the program to make things easier to understand and check.
