hey guys, I have qualified the brazing with PQR with ASTM B88 1.5mm thickness, Soket (Lap), SFA/A5.8 BCuP‐1 Rod, TB - Torch Brazing. So can i weld in production with the same above exception 5 mm thickness.?

hi new day, could anybody please help me in this regard, my understand that brazing was not classified between groove weld and fillet weld, so when qualified for thickness 1.5 mm with design joint is socket (lap) then WPS only covered for max. 3 mm thickness even this was socket weld. am i correct?

Look at Article XIII for the list of essential variables. Not only is the thickness a consideration, the lap length is also an essential variable.

Best regards - Al
