HI everybody !
Is there any criteria to decide when bowing is likely to occur in pipe line carrying cryogenic liquids?
Regards,
MST

there are many factors, the answer requires a detailed piping isometric and a meeting with your piping design and stress analysis people.

several of the issues are: differential thermal expansions, the placement and type of the piping supports, the mass of the fluid in your pipe, the size and schedule of the pipe including the materials of construction and insulation, dealing with potential (external) ice loading, the location and foundation design of the equipment you are connecting to, etc., etc., etc.
