Hi,

I am having trouble having a simple verification test done in ansys. I am trying to rotate a single element (PLANE182) by 90 degrees expecting a zero stress. But, there is some stress developed both in x and y direction because volume is not being conserved while rotating. I presume this is because of the boundary condition that I am prescribing. My batch file is attached.

The path followed by the deformation is a straight line along the sides. But for pure rotation, it is suppose be rotating along a circle. Could someone suggest me how to set up the BC's.

Thanks
