Hi All,

I'm trying to mesh a turbine but I am unable to get the blades to mesh. I got an error saying that I had to generate a bottom-up mesh. However, when I generate the bottom-up mesh I get the following: See attached. I then try the extrude method for bottom-up mesh but the mesh does not follow the profile of the blade. Any ideas?

Regards,
Jer

It's difficult to see the actual mesh you've made as the elements are so small. If you've tried partitioning the geometry and used brick elements unsuccessfully, then try using quadrilateral tet elements.

Hi Corus

Sorry for the late reply.
I have been trying to use brick elements using the create bottom up mesh method but I get this error around the trailing edge. Any idea why this is occuring?

Regards,
Jer
