When two objects are intersecting each other and if a boolean operation >> Subtract is done on them , in History Free Mode, the application should allow for deleting any piece of the geometry after the operation is completed.. Instead I get dis jointed / non continuous body symbol.

if I go to History mode, then I delete a piece of geometry..

Is this normal?

????
I see nothing of the described scenario.
If i subtract one volume from another, the common volume will disappear. No difference history free or history mode.
If i Subtract a sheet body from a volume the volume will be divided into multiple . I can delete any part of the remaining volumes.
Please clarify.

Tomas

Hi,
Is your workflow like this.
(1) Create two blocks (interfering in such a way that after subtarction of one from other two seperate chunks of solid will remain)
(2) Do a Boolean subtract so tht the result is two disjointed solid bodies
(3) Turn on the HISTORY FREE mode
(4) You will notivce two solid bodies
(5) Delete either of them (if you want to keep the deletion of body associative...use Synchronous Delete face)

I see no issue here but may be i am missing something?

Best Regards
Kapil

the strange thing in HF is multiple partions allowed...
You can unite not intersecting bodies. this can end up strange results in the booleans...
Is more grouping will freeze the distance like bond when you will move one this body of the results -

Kapil,

The only difference is that I start in History free mode.. So I see the dis-jointed bodies highlight. But when I go to history mode and back to history free mode, I can delete one of the chunk.

One thing that you have to keep in mind is that 'History Free' does NOT mean 'Feature Free'. The result of the Boolean subtract is seen as a multi-body 'feature'.
