Bonding silicone gasket to LDPE...

Hello all,

Can someone recommend an adhesive that can bond a 1/4" wide half round silicone gasket seal to a molded LDPE housing?

Have tried Dow 739, Super Glue, Kool Chem and Loctite 454 (with 770 primer) of which only the 454 adhered after low temp testing (20F).

The 454 is quite expensive and a bit difficult to work with in the 20 gram tubes (they crack after minimal use).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would give these people a call as the specialize in bonding things to polyethylene.
