Hi

I am working on project where required 0.9 mm polyester cord bond to each other and has to stay connected with 20 Lb force.
is anyone know any material or substance can use to bond the polyester cords?

I tried heat to bond the cords but because of the liability issue can't use that as option.

Thanks
Jay

The most common method is a knot. Braided cords can be spliced with a weaving technique. Polyester fibers are highly oriented (on a molecular level). Melting the polymer will destroy its strength. Metal crimp connectors can be used in some cases.

This application required for window shades where shade have multiple cords and knot makes it unbalance or crooked shade,
some cases customer feel frustration making knot and not having level shade, Also knot has to sit on rotating round spool where more cord collect and knot make raise section pull extra cord as diameter changes resulting cord pull unevenly from one side shade to other.
