I have two questions about SWBOM's

1. How do you control the size of the BOM? I have been able to change the text size and save that to a template. But when I change column or row width/height they do not get saved with the template. How do I accomplish this?

2. How do I change the color of the BOM on my drawing? I have a hard time seeing the default light green table.

Thanks in advance for your help.

DRHINE,

2.
Look at your bom properties and see if you don't have a layer that is light green in color tied to you r bom.

If this is the case, change the layer or pick none.
The text should revert to black, as in the Solidworks text color.

No such layers associated with the BOM... The properties for the BOM doesn't give an option for Layers.

the default light green table.
What version are you using? I have never seen anything but a black BOM.

SW2005 SP4.0 SolidWorks based BOM... I thought it was supposed to be black also, but on the drawing it is light green. Driving me insane, can't see on the drawing very well and all but disappears when I move it off the sheet.

note: when I use the excel based BOM it is black.

Have a look through Tools > Options > System Options > Colors.
Try going through each item in the System Colors list to see if the light green color shows up anywhere.
Also experiment with the "skins" & Color Schemes to see if they have an effect.

Do you have a SW approved video card & driver?

Tools/Options/System/Options/Colors/Annotations, Non Imported

my bad (bom properties)
I meant table format.
Set table format layer to none.

Thanks, the tools/options/system options/color/annotations-nonimported was correct. For some reason my system doesn't like black at all. But I did get an acceptable color.
