Hello, I have SW 2006 SP4.0.
I have a top-level assy that has in it the following:
1. A sub-assy consisting of parts A, B, C, & D. The option is checked for children not to show in the BOM when this assy is used as a sub-assy. Therefore, it shows as 1 part number in my bom.
2. The top-level also has a single instance of the same part "A" used in the sub-assy.
The BOM should look like #1 - sub-assy p/n & #2 - the individual part.
However, I've tested this w/ multiple sub-assy's & each part of the sub-assy bubbles as #1 except the part that is used in the top-level.
So if I have a tee in a sub-assy that should show up as one item number no matter what, and that tee is also used thruout the top-level assy as, say, item number 24...then the tee in the sub-assy will also bubble as item #4.
I tried to talk to my var about this and they new nothing. tried to tell my that it was normal. Please help and tell me that i'm not crazy!
