Bolted Tanks calculations for bolt sizing and spacing

Hello,

Are there any specific calculations for spacing and sizing of bolts and bolt patterns for bolted storage tanks. I have looked at AWWA D103 Section 5.5 and at API 12B. I am checking to see if there are any more references that I could use for determining the bolting patterns for these tanks. At this time, the focus is on lapped bolted tanks as opposed to flanged ones.

Are you trying to design a bolted tank yourself and then will issue a package for bid purposes?

If so, why? There are dozens? of manufacturers that perform these types of calculations based on a performance specification. We do a ton of tanks of all sizes and I've never "designed" one myself. Foundation and anchors, sure, but never the shell.
