Bloated File/Slow Updates

I have an I-DEAS part which has grown from 18MB to 60MB on disk. The thing is, I DELETED features from the history tree and got this huge file as a result. Everytime I dismiss the history form, or try to update features it takes an inordinate amount of time. I have tried running ham_medic on the model file, the part file, resetting usage counts, exporting an archive file, etc. and none of this seems to improve things one bit. Is there any kind of a "heavy duty" utility to clean or properly rebuild this thing once and for all?
