Are there any rules of thumb for the approximate weight range of 30 to 50 mW motors and generators?

completely depends on manufacturer...housings sizes and styles vary widely, as do maximum output/size combinations. contact a motor/generator manufacturer and they will set you up

Is it milliWatts (mW) or MegaWatts (MW)?

30 to 50 Mega-Watts machines are normally “custom made”. The type of enclosure, voltage, speed and cooling system will make a big difference in weight from one type to the other. You need to request technical support from manufactures according with your specific requirements.
