BFW temperature to Boiler

I understand from different Boiler Vendor that the BFW Temperature is such that it should be above 5-10 degree above the Sulphur dew point.
Any other opinion on this?

I am not aware of such a requirement. Sulphur dew point depends on the sulphur content in the fuel and there are many fuels that you need not bother about sulphur condensation, at all. Talk to senior guys of the manufacturers.

Namita's concern about BFW temperature vs. Sulfur dew point is because he has an economizer in his boiler system.

Like all Mideastern newbie posts, he neglects to mention anything about his system.

Having the BFW temperature at or near the sulfur dewpoint can lead to accelerated corrosion at the economizer due to condensed sulfuric acid attack.

This is a classic boiler failure, typically encountered where the boiler operators are unqualified...

You are right MJC. It is my mistake that economiser didn't strike me, for whatever reason. Thanks for pointing it out.
