SWX 2009
My customer sent me an assembly of a pump that has many pieces that are not mated. The assembly is drawn 25.4 times too big so I need to scale it down. I saved it as a part file and inside this new part file is a bunch of solids and surfaces. I tried to use the scale command and it will only allow me to select three of the surfaces to scale so I need to find another option. There was another thread on here talking about saving the assembly out in another format to then bring it in again as a dumb solid.
So I want to know what is the best file type to save the original assembly out as (iges, parasolid etc.) so that I can bring it back into SWX and get a single part with a single dumb solid within it. Do I have to bring it into another software before bringing back to SWX? I have Pro-E and MDT available.
Thanks
