I am going to take my Civil PE in October and I was wondering if anyone found an online review helpful. My area is pretty sparse for in person reviews and even the ASCE review is a webinar now (and charging $2000!!!!). Anyone have a more reasonable option that worked?

Thanks,
Andy

Skip the review class. I just took mine in April and used online resources. Check out these sites:

engineeringregistration.tamu.edu/tapedreviews
engineerboards.com

I started off with the Texas A&M videos. They are old but most of the info is still good. I studied for 2.5 months (my brain could only take so much). I suggest spending most of your time on your depth section. The breadth is easier and the Texas A&M videos go over most of the stuff. Don't skimp on the references. There were a handful of questions that I hadn't seen before but was able to look them up.

I just took the PE in April (2 attempt). But IMO there were a lot of concept questions (non problem solving)these were my downfall the first time around. Best thing for me was reading my books and knowing the definitions and where to find stuff. I would say there were a good 15-20 questions that were all concept or know the code (like green book for transportation). Exam Cafe is also a good way to do practice problems. My PE review class just hit the basics and did not help very much.

RedBauer, you have presented a very well organized course program by learncivilengineering.com. The key as pointed out is commitment.
