A hi and thanks in advance to you all.

We have fuel oil 2 aboveground storage fixed cone roofs tanks with foam chambers for superficial application.

I´d like to know what kind of foam is better for this application, the fluoroproteinic type or the AFFF.

We´ve been recomended AFFF since it is more versatile to have it for other applications. But we had a comment that for the foam chambers the fluoroproteinic is better.

Does somebody can comment about the two types of foam and which is better for ASTs foam chambers?

The absolute best person to speak to about foam requirements for fire protection is Martin Workman at Viking Corp. Check out for a contact phone number.
