Hi, I'm using FEMAP for FEA but obviously there are a few things to wish for when it comes to handling "messy" geometry...

Anyone know a good software (not crazy expensive) for stitching and cleaning slivers etc? I'm using rhino normally but this is not one of its strengths when the model is complicated with many bulkheads etc. Also tried ANSA but found it wasn't very simple to use. Basically I need something that simplifies the geometry in a slightly more aggressive way.

Isn't that built into FEMAP?
It's been a while since I used it, but I do clearly recall cleanup features for not only the "coincident note/element" kind of problems, but also a dizzying menu of mesh controls.
Another "best practice" is to get rid of fillets and corner rounds in the base models before they get exported into the basic geometry format.
