We're running AMADA FO3015NTs with 7.5" (D1.5")lenses and I'm trying to find a less expensive lens and nozzles (D1.4E) at the aftermarket. How good are those aftermarket parts? Do they last as long? Does anybody has any experience with those parts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What are you using now?

We have the same machine. I purchase the lenses from II-VI Infrared. This is where Amada actually gets their optics (all mirrors included). You can save a lot of money buying directly from them instead of Amada.

I've also purchased nozzles from them, as well as from Mate and Centricut. I haven't noticed significant differences between aftermarket manufacturers (possibly all from the same supplier?) I think the chrome plating on the Amada nozzles is better but the price difference is huge so I buy most of our nozzles from MATE these days.

Thanks Jetrep!
It's on order and I will keep everybody posted about the quality and durability of those lenses.
Thanks again

Agree 100% with jetrep as far as the lenses from II-VI. You may want to try using the MP-5 Coating since they have a lower absorption rate than the regular lenses. As far as nozzles, Amada used to buy them directly from American Torch Tip.

The nozzles you really have to be careful in purchasing are the double nozzles (ECO mushroom style, or WACS nozzles) because there have been some instances where the aftermarket nozzle didn't have the inner nozzle centered and this causes the nozzle to cook since the beam is clipping it.

Good Luck on your search
