bearing hole size on 7075

I need to drill a hole for install a bearing. The part make by 7075-T6. The bearing size is 6mm. I want to know what should be the hole size on the part for bearing? I need the bearing to be able to push in by hand and do not drop off when flip over. thanks

Well, what are the tolerances etc for the bearing? The bearing suppliers I've seen give a bunch of detail on the required hole size and even the tolerance condition on the bottom of the hole etc.

I measured it. It is exactly 6mm bearing.

So this is a one off? Or will more of these be built? If not a one off then just measuring this one is of very limited use.

Is this a plain bearing?

I would think that is almost impossible - to hand fit and expect it not to fall out.

If you drill a 6mm hole then it should fit in assuming your tolerances are OK.

How about putting some heavy grease on the bearing that will make it "stick" in the hole??

Come on Mike,
You are going to take all the fun out of the job. Using that stuff you can push the bearing in with your finger, and know that after 15 mins you will need a crowbar to get it out.
