Bearing capacity of subgrade modulus

Hi all,

Are there any empirical formula to convert soil bearing capacity to the soil subgrade modulus????

And what is the relationship between subgrade modulus of soil and the settlement of buildings?? I have analysed a case whereby if u decrease the subgrade modulus, the settlement of the building increases and the soil pressure decreases. Is this phenomenal accurate theoretically??
