Very Good afternoon to all

I need some details of bearing babbit thickness. In journal bearing, Maximum thickness how much we can keep ?

New design?

Extra thick replacement because the shaft had to be machined down to correct damage ?

Evaluating used, worn bearing for re-use ?

 
I don't know that there is a maximum thickness for babbitt. Precision insert bearings have a thickness of only 0.001 inch or so. Poured babbitt bearings are cast in place and can be any thickness.

Yes its new design , based on shaft size bearing final size need to finalize . These bearing only for testing purpose.
After completion of testing bearing will reuse for another shaft .
