hi,everyone.
i'm reading the chapter 47 of <MSC nastran2014 demonstration problem manual>.It described a model about Dynamic Impact of a Rigid
Sphere on a Woven Fabric.
In this chapter, the author said that "The beam-to-beam contact algorithm of MSC Nastran SOL 400 addresses this case. It is a true segment-to-segment contact algorithm, in which the beam elements of the slave contact body can touch the beam elements of the master contact body at arbitrary points mid-way between the grids of the elements.".furthermore,"The radius of the contact cross-section is called the “beam contact radius” and must be defined via the BCBMRAD option."
But,in the <quick reference guide>,the author said that "The BCBMRAD entry is only used for node-to-segment beam-to-beam contact. Segment-to-segment beam contact is not available in the current release."
How to treat the contradiction ? Thank You!
