Hello,
I'm looking to determine the capacity a roof designed in 1960 which is composed of beam tiles which span to concrete beams. The plans refer to No. 5 standard duty beam tile sections as seen in the attachment. The best I can make out is that these beam tiles were some type of hollow clay tile units which a bar was dropped into and filled with concrete to form sections similar a monolithically poured pan and joist system. Am I on the right track? If so, does anyone have sectional properties of this No. 5 standard duty tile section?
