hi am new to this forum just found it today. i am designing the steel erection procedure to set beams with 1 quarter-point splice. the span is 150' long, simple span. we will use 2 cranes to set the 110' pc and the 40' pc. then use a 3rd crane to 'hold' about midspan with about 12000lbs of uplift dialed in. the girder ends will be tied down to prevent rotation. using the aisc formulae to determine the allowable Fb comparing to actual fb. with a safety factor of 2.0 (?). just wondering if anybody does it any other way. i can supply more info if needed but it is at the office.

thanks in advance.
