Hi all,
I am trying to figure out the best beam expander for our system. Our system specs is (Mellon Griot Laser 532-MA-A03. Spectrum (457 - 514 nm).

Anyways while buying a beam expander, what are the specs that I should look for. I know the expansion ratio is related to price (higher the expansion ratio, higher is the price. But the minimum focus distance remains the same. I have copied their listing.

Part Number Expansion Ratio Exit Aperture (mm) Minimum Focus Distance (m) Diameter φA(mm) Length L (mm) Price
09LBX001 5× 5.0 3.0 38 50 $612
09LBX003 10× 10.0 3.0 39 83 $714
09LBX005 20× 20.0 3.0 47 136 $1,122

I know this sounds naive but I would like to know if by choosing the higher expansion ratio, I am losing anything.
Also for set up what would be the suggestion to collimate (or reduce divergence).

Thanks in advance.
