I am currently designing the anticipated scour at a beach front. The scope is to protect the adjacent roadway embankment from scouring away with the use of either sheeting or armoured rip rap. In order to do the structural or geotechnical analysis, i would have to estimate the scour based on the subsurface profile and the water/wave properties that influence the design.

I have one publication listed for the job that is not avaialable. It is the NAVFAC DM 26.2 - Coastal Protection.
Its hard to get a hold of.

Is there any other publications out there from the UACOE or NAVY or other agencies that I may use to generate the proposed scour, whether it be local or longterm?

Hello,

FEMA has a publication (55 I think) that treats scour based on wind/wave.

Good Luck.
