Someone on the construction site heard a loud crack around 4:45 pm on 4/18/2018, crack was found on the 4th floor. Should have more updates today as the structural engineer is flying in from Dallas.

A crack like that looks maybe like foundation settlement at one portion of the wall. Don't have any overall views of it, though.

With the broken sheetrock panel at the end of the open web joist, and the wider opening in the breach at the top than the bottom, it looks suspiciously like possible movement of the wall assembly, separate from the structural mechanism supporting the roof structure.

Settlement as JAE says seems plausible.

Structural drawings would be helpful...

Center joist of the three showing above looks significantly out of plane compared to others. Could be photo perspective but looks odd and there's damage to the wall at the joist seat.
