Anyone can share some references to learn RSLogix5000 as a beginner ?
May need to look at the control systems to look for faults, when machine is not starting.

Rockwell has a number of options,
If you have little or no PLC experience this site may be helpful, lots of good tutorials and info.

I have used this program when training gas engine technicians with good results,
I have a couple of customers who have used this program with good results,
If you can talk your boss into it, try to get a used CompactLogix processor and rack w/ some I/O to just play with, really the best way in my opinion to get familiar with getting around in a program. I just bought one like this off eBay to help a customer setup some basic training,

added some switches and lamps and made up a reasonably inexpensive training aid
