I'm working on a ballistic analisys. The fibre is sufering huge deformations instead of breaking , even though the stress is higher than the strength of the material. Do you what the problem is?

I'm using a Vumat subroutine for reinforced composites.
I've asign a contiuum shell section to each layer of the fibre.
