What US standards cover specification of ball valves? Are there international (ISO etc) equivalents?

Thanks gsxra. I knew of B16.34, but not ISA S75.04: I'll check it out.

Another USA ball valve spec. is MSS SP-110. No ISO equivalent yet.

ANSI ('scuse me: ASME) B16.10 seems to be used frequently for face-to-face.

MSS-SP72

NACE MR01-75

API 6D

ASME ( I almost did it again) B16.5/B16.34

ISO 6002
ISO 10434
ISO 15761
ISO 17292
ISO 14723 (if you are going subsea).

Some of these standards will have some equivalency as per API 6D/ISO 14313 for example. Look them up.

API 608 & ASME B16.34 for design - press. temp ratings
ASME B16.10 for Dimensional standard
API 598 & 607 for Inspection & testing inc. Fire safe

When you get to larger sizes / higher press. then there are no Dimensional std. in B16.34.
