We have a 22" CL2500 double block and bleed ball valve leaking through the seats in one of our units. We tried to inject sealant in the seats but without success, the valve is still leaking. I cannot think in another solution and I would like to know if there is any other thing to do to isolate this valve.

Open the body drain?

How much leakage?

DBB just means it seals from both sides.

Where is the bleed?

Can you post a drawing? P & ID.

A 22" clss2500 is some valve. What fluid?

Maybe use a stopple to stop the leaking or repair the DBB valve.

There are only a few general ways to try to stop a leaking valve of this type:
1. Inject sealant and/or more sealant of a different type.
2. Clean, pig or flush the pipeline, if possible.
3. Check and adjust the precision of closing, opening and torque. Actuator alignment OK and without slack?
4. Check supplier for information and experience with natural life-time and probable causes.
5. Inspect and repair/replace components

Replace the soft seats, or bypass the whole valve.

What do you mean tried to seal? Was the sealing operation successful or the ports blocked?
