Hi all,
I am modelling the nonlinear behaviour of a truss structure by temperature load. I wish to know if there is a way to get abaqus to output the axial and/or flexural energies separately. Currently I can only get elastic/total..etc energies in my output. My work requries me to find out what proportion of the total energy in the members are composed of stretching/bending.

(For linear models i can use nodal displacements/rotations and resort to strain energy equations. Nonlinear models require post-analysis numerical integration for every member in my model and mine has about 36000 elements (i have 200 of those to do)! its gonna take forever)

Any suggestions or related comments are appreciated. Many thanks!
